my two dads

over mlk day weekend, we took a trip to san diego to see richard and erica.

while there, we took a trip to imperial beach to walk down the pier since it was still too cold to play on the beach.

cosmo and richard got some weird stares while they walked down the pier holding annie's hands, plus cosmo had van strapped to the front of him in a baby carrier. 

me and erica kept our distance to not ruin the magic of it all.

i wish i would have gotten a picture of it, but the first morning we were there, i was feeding van and all three of richard and erica's girls came in with their pink pi's on, holding baby dolls, and they all sat by me on the bed and fed their babies while i fed van. cosmo just looked at us and repeated his relief that we have a boy.  thanks richard and erica for putting up with us all weekend and for letting van pee on your bed.

van was blessed on new years day as

 i am not a fan of the silky white blessing outfits they offer for boys, so i made his pants and bow tie and scoured the internet for infant suspenders.  figuring i can't even find pants that fit him, i didn't think i would be able to actually find baby suspenders, but the heavens aligned and i ran across these little gems. probably not the most comfortable, but i'm trying to teach van "fashion over function" in his young age.

 my whole family was able to be there.
