IMAGINE

"...imagine no possession.
i wonder if you can.
no need for greed or hunger.
a brotherhood of man.
imagine all the people
sharing all the world..."

we were the second people there to start off the celebration for john lennon's birthday (oct 9)
thats our apple we put on the memorial. it says "happy birthday john! we love you!"
"...you may say i'm a dreamer.
but i'm not the only one.."

a group of guys showed up in the early afternoon and started playing beatles songs.
everyone gathered around and sang along.
the crowd grew and grew.

strawberry fields forever

"i hope someday you'll join us,
and the world will be as one"
by night time, there was a huge crowd and the imagine memorial was basically covered.
it was so much fun to sit around and sing and see everyone join together in remembering john lennon. i should have been a hippie because this was awesome.
all you need is love.

That looks like fun times for Jenn and other hippie types. I think that's all John Lennon would have wanted for his birthday, is apples and flowers and a well made birthday sign that says "Happy Birthday John" :)

Love the pics. Glad you guys had fun. Next time tell Cosmo to save enough money to take me along.

I think as a thank you, you should save your money and surprise him for his birthday with a trip to Disney Land!
But make sure you do the following:
#1 Get a three day park hopper pass with the early bird special so you guys can start the day at 5 am.
#2 Invite me so the three of us can squeeze into one boat on the Peter Pan ride again.
#3 Make sure you take someone in a wheel chair so Cosmo can push it through the crowds of people.
#4 Try to find someone that looks like Mr. Bean to take with you. Just to make the Peter Pan line a little funner.

Here is that blog I saw. I guess they're from Utah. http://dwhimpeyfamily.blogspot.com/

Talk about a golden birthday. It sounds like you guys had so much fun. Our goal is to get to NYC before we leave Pitt. I'm all about traveling and you look like you lived it up while you were there. The John Lennon exhibit and everything would've been cool to see. Jess
